How do You Fold Your Towels?

Short and Sweet - Something to make you giggle. 😝

I remember when our boys were little and they started to help with chores. One time in particular, I remember Luke (our youngest) was SO proud of how many towels, hand towels, and wash clothes he “folded.” I showed him how I folded and he watched me, then did his interpretation of that fold. 🥰 It was technically folded, but it obviously didn’t turn out quite the same as mom’s way 💁‍♀️, but you better believe I praised him, clapped for him, told him how great HE was, & thanked him for helping!! 📣 When you include a child, teach a child, inspire growth in a child, they will do well in life.

Also though - You better know I waited until I got to the linen shelf before I re-folded the towels so he wouldn’t see it. 😂 They still have to actually go in the closet. 🤷‍♀️❤️

Sorry, I’ve Got to Call Them Out

Sorry everyone, I have got to call out a group and I hate to do it but it’s time —> “some” Medical Professionals. I really do love you all, and there are so many things we couldn’t survive as a community without you, but there is this one thing I see pop up. It’s apathy for the non-exciting sports injuries. Two weeks ago yesterday, our youngest who is a freshman, was playing his beloved football game at school. Towards the very end of the game during the 4th quarter, our son made a great tackle, but he also took a knee to the center of his chest. You know, of course it was just right where the shoulder pads didn’t cover: in the center. He shook it off until the end of the game (this kid will play through most anything!) We iced him down and watched him overnight and by the next day the very bottom area of his sternum was incredibly swollen; it looked like a tennis ball was under his skin! It's been a while! I am starting my blog again, because it's 2023, and we have SURVIVED and will continue to SURVIVE from the last few years on this wild ride of a world we live in. We are here to not only survive, but grow, and thrive - and that is what we all dream of right? Silver Lining? Today You get a Clean Slate

Today my youngest son, Luke, and I went to the dentist for a routine cleaning. Shameless plug for our dentist - If you live in the McKinney/Allen/Frisco area, I highly recommend Crescent Family Dentistry with Dr. Spencer Moon! Back to the post at hand - When he came in to do my check after my cleaning, he asked me how things were going, if there was anything to address. I said no, things are good, but I'll be honest and say I've slacked on my flossing some this year following covid and feeling just yucky for have the year. He said, "that's alright, you get a clean slate today!" No, Dr. Moon didn't coin the phrase, "clean slate," but it was a good reminder that no matter where you are, what you do, how you are doing it, what you regret, what you put off for another day, today you get a clean slate.
